Supervision

Practitioner Supervision

Supervision-Mentoring is a deeply supportive way to help you develop and maintain a healthy practice.

Our work, as well as our life, goes through periods of challenge.  As practitioners we often work alone, so finding a supportive environment for professional reflection and sharing can be a challenge.

Facilitated and supported self-reflection in a confidential environment forms the mainstay of supervision.

I offer both individual and group supervision, which can be accessed in person in North Norfolk or via Zoom.

Individual sessions allow more time for deeper discussion.  Some people feel more comfortable opening up and working through deeper issues in this environment, than they would in a group setting.

Group sessions provide a non-hierarchical, non-judgmental arena to share with and learn from colleagues.  I have found in my groups that over time group members develop strong supportive bonds with each other.

The group environment provides the opportunity to work through the lighter more practical areas of practice as well as delving into some of the more difficult areas we may shy away from. The biggest advantage of group work is that we all learn from each other.

Supervisees say their sessions allow them to:

  • feel supported
  • safely explore and resolve work related issues
  • celebrate their successes
  • talk through areas of practice that aren't working well
  • plan for the future
  • gain a greater understanding of themselves as a practitioner.
